The sounds for the final weeks of January are ...ER (er at the end of a word) and ...EZ (ez at the end of a word), and they are both pronounced the same as last week's É (e accent aigu). There are other ways to spell this same sound, which we will study in the upcoming weeks. The petit test for ...ER will be Friday, Jan. 20 and the petit test for ...EZ will be Friday, Jan. 27.
Grade 2 Students:
For the test, two of the words are bonus words. Grade 2 students are expected to know how to spell any ten of these words. Of course, they may choose to study all twelve words. :)
Of the ten sentences on the back of the sheet, Grade 2 students can choose which sentences they want to learn for the test.
Grade 3 Students:
For the test, Grade 3 students are expected to know how to spell all twelve words below (also found on their sheet).
