For our twenty-seventh dictée, we are focusing on words with the same sound as last week, S = Z (one S that makes a Z sound). The following 10 terms are the vocabulary for this week's dictée, as well as the silly sentence (la phrase drôle). Throughout the week, students are to practice reading and writing the words and the sentence, and also understanding what they mean.
We will also have a bonus sentence (la phrase boni). If your child is doing well with the main sentence, I encourage them to practice the bonus sentence as well. (It will not be counted toward their grade if there are errors.)
The test will be Tuesday, May 24. For the test, students are expected to use correct letter size, spacing, accents, spelling, and punctuation.
une fusée (a rocket)
des ciseaux (scissors)
la musique (music)
une chaise (a chair)
un oiseau (a bird)
une maison (a house)
un rasoir (a razor)
un vase (a vase)
avoir raison (to be right)
rendre visite (to visit)
La phrase drôle :
Les oiseaux reposent sur le toit de la maison grise. (The birds are resting on the roof of the grey house.)
La phrase boni :
Tu as raison, le hamster a aiguisé mes ciseaux ! (You are right, the hamster sharpened my scissors!)
