For our twenty-second dictée, we are focusing on words with the H muet sound, which is when the letter h is a silent letter. The following 10 terms are the vocabulary for this week's dictée, as well as the silly sentence (la phrase drôle). Throughout the week, students are to practice reading and writing the words and the sentence, and also understanding what they mean.
We will also have a bonus sentence (la phrase boni). If your child is doing well with the main sentence, I encourage them to practice the bonus sentence as well. (It will not be counted toward their grade if there are errors.)
The test will be Tuesday, April 19. For the test, students are expected to use correct letter size, spacing, accents, spelling, and punctuation.
l'habitude (habit)
l'herbe (grass)
l'huile (oil)
l'hiver (winter)
l'hôpital (hospital)
une horloge (a clock)
une hirondelle (a swallow)
une histoire (a story)
un homme (a man)
un hôtel (a hotel)
