Some of the activities we are doing/will do each week include, but are not limited to, literacy stations/Daily 5, l'étude des sons, math games, number talks, challenges and questions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, number sense), small-group and whole-class discussions, les choix/centres, exploring and creating various texts, continuing to discover cultures and appreciate diversity, developing our artistic skills and scientific ideas, strengthening our school community with our Petits Amis and with House Team activities, taking care of our physical and mental health, and so much more!

French Literacy
I can express ideas, emotions and personal experiences (using visual, gestural elements, 2e année). I can ask questions in order to enhance my understanding. I can ask questions and respond to questions to hold a spontaneous conversation. (3e année) I can identify key words in a text in order to understand the message. I can use textual elements to make predictions and enhance my comprehension of a text. (3e année) I can read a "just right" text with fluency (and intonation). I can write complete sentences using proper sentence structure (capitalization, punctuation). Numeracy I can develop mental math strategies and abilities to make sense of number concepts to 100 (2e année) or 1000 (3e année). I can show my mathematical thinking by making a model, drawing a picture, using words and numbers, etc. I can use mathematical vocabulary and language to contribute to mathematical discussions about current topics:

Social Studies
I can recognize that there are similarities and differences between my own culture and those of others. I can demonstrate a willingness to consider diverse points of view. I can learn about and appreciate cultural diversity within my community. |
Art
I can create artistic works collaboratively and as an individual, while exploring the elements of design, such as line, shape, colour, and value. I can develop processes and skills to refine my artistic abilities using oil pastels, watercolours, and other materials. |
